Final Photo Critique

1. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiowG6SdwQ50IxGegj496GlqZL8G8NS3pqGn3WIPeO0GGZbxQ4j2AGTj08xX9m8H8yhuqdo4E71-HdwON-0FS9ML_Ts-PiG7yh4LxvbD7ChAqLD0YqwT5cIDnQD_w5NwzJ0J6Fmkwmi2S4/s1600/P9154884.jpg

This Photo is just plain amazing there isn't any thing I can knowingly critic other than maybe looking to see if the colors of the rock could be brought out anymore. I think this was the best photo out of the whole class in the fact that she captures the water falling and the colorful rock at the same time and is able to get it all in focus. possibly another cool thing she could have done is maybe take a photo with  lower shutter speed so that the water falling got some movement. However, this photo is amazing as is.

This photo is also one of my favorites in the class. I really like how she captured the stars in the photo and the silhouette of the tree line is present in the dark. However, I feel that this photo loses potential because the rock is so highlighted by the flashlight. I feel it draws away from the pure beauty of the night sky that was so viable that evening. overall this is a great photo.

3. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZUNcnrv83FU/Up29d0ElOCI/AAAAAAAAATg/l0Iuk55-IWA/s1600/final+16.jpg

This photo just hurts my eyes I cant see this as nature photography because you can't make out the leaves or let alone the creek in the background. I wouldn't have known they were trees unless I was I was present the day he presented. This photo is cool it just that you cant make out the nature and it is way too blurred to even appetize the eyes.

4.https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDCNEcpo2h55zfFegbRtJBGOBNRN_LF9keqllBgrMH-kG09tklBArxZ4za9aEAi9WsmaUGKzoQWxbj_dmiIi2mtvu7cKDh6vHvcksFew4Se7Zve3Qn3Zq8fzOuWbWDFj0YeFtGunLXogM/s1600/rocky+muntains-6970.jpg

This is a great photo of the Mountains I absolutely love how the trees are leading up to the Mountains. However, the fence in the picture, I feel ruins the feel of the Nature. More cropping could be used to possibly enhance the quality of the picture and make it so it has a  more naturey feel.

5. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbijoncf-mF21t6nTiMdSJuUiAJ1Y90o3GieQ_nOFAHWek2vNsdvaUtncT_wp6VBgCvPP7egYso3zTX1xH0DkWFgt6ja9egNtOiVBjY9G2Xfw2OZ-DXO4Tn7D3JoOG7g_gaFkKC20NkoE/s1600/edit-0656.jpg

This is a great photo the trees border the top of the photo and the main focus is the small tree and the river. I feel that the use of a longer shutter speed would enhance the flow of the stream and make the viewer flowing in from the left corner and lead the viewer in and the border with the trees will keep the viewer in the photo.

6. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ViG2XCkXUQk/UqDXwyTAQ7I/AAAAAAAAAEQ/IjJqykxvZfw/s1600/DSC_0008.jpg

I really like the idea of the photo and how it is focused on the tree. The only thing that makes this image unappealing is the background where there is a building and construction equipment. If you could have shot this image from another angle so those objects couldn't be see this could have been a really great photo, or if you had gotten closer so the focus was obviously just on the tree.

7. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2soc-xeXCj-_zO2JEyZyLd73gynwrhyphenhyphenjNg3erTbONaIiZxvWh5hMgD8heQAXVOybnWO3hxEzdvvndHK-MAHGegu_0xlX3EYZZ0JmI5mvNuDdbviOUMZ8ILWkT4oFgwTJO35GEGx9HCJQ/s1600/IMG_3486.jpg

This image even in black and white is really a neat picture, there so much in this picture with the mountains, water, and sky. The only thing about this photo is that it could be so much more appealing if it was in color. I like the idea of the black and white, but in black and white you can't fully see the beauty of the landscape because of the limited color. If this photo was in color you would be able to see all the colors, values, and contrasts which would make this photo that much more appetizing to eye.

8. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpd_r_fTuFUqDswQQboEErnsppKMjQbvcC3vR0S4JDoB1QJW6rHi9A2n4eJim96j-DgYA78eWPMvjp85J3hpW5s2Fb4XbAe0W_MYJ8iBijR3VUb3A46kCNET30UuRbw3hXjOjvRHwRuQ1-/s1600/pic3.jpg

This image does have a lot in it and has some nice color about it. The thing that I think need critiquing about this photo is that there is no focus point in it. When you look at this photo you don't know what your are suppose to be looking at or for specifically and in most good pictures there is a focal point that is suppose to draw you to the photo but with this there is nothing that draws the eye to it or in to it.

9. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg17sGDM83D9WW0ol0vefTyz4KH77guiVnc8lToJT3cv-TPqssU4TWtIOBIacfV71PRLRAySOeBBVVJY5aVHhJ9oGw6AEP7armt74aiyYCNwA9ZXpjHxB6T0sRMLt_9l27TRuI1hacqVTE/s1600/untitled+(13+of+21).jpg

This photo is actually a really great shot. All the of the landscape makes it a pretty view, from tree that border the image, how the bridge stands out, and the small sliver of mountain in the very back makes this a pretty scenery. The thing that I don't overly love about this photo is how much the color was edited on this photo. It takes away from the photo because the colors seem unreal to how it should really look in nature. If they colors were a little calmer this would be an all around great image.

10. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-phoaa2SsfIc/Up4eLjYTi8I/AAAAAAAAAEc/UxWZ93PzEzU/s1600/DSC_5920.jpg

I like this photo because its not just of the scenery, it's of animals in their habitat. The one thing that I think could have made this a better photo was if the person had focused on either the bear or the bison. They could have take two photos and had one focusing on the bear while the other was on the bison. The problem with the image containing both is that there is to much going on and its hard to focus on the picture. Also if they could have focused and tried to get a closer image of the two it would have made it more appealing to the eye.

Photo Critic

1.This photo is of fog rolling over a hill. This photo has many good aspects and also a few issues. This photo is extremely unique to me due to the fact that I've never seen a photo like this. The for seeping over the hillside is amazing however the power plant in the middle of the photo draws attention away from the real purpose of the nature photography. Dahncke has good transitions into the picture from his corners however I feel if he cropped this photo to take out the power plant he would have a much more powerful image thou you are losing the endlessness of the fog which was a major contributor to the image.
2. This photo Rivan Indra is anything but calm. all the blur draws the eyes to the center point rock however the blur causes the photo to look like it is shaking causing anything but calmness. The only interesting thing in this photo is the porous rock other than that there is no detail because the blur takes the detail away. over all I'm sure this is a good image without the blur, however, the blur makes my eyes hurt if I look at it too long, if a viewer cant look at a image for more than ten seconds you didn't do a good job.
3. This photo by JS Wood is not at all breathtaking. it looks as though the squirrel is jumping or running on a branch. you cant tell if this is actually taken out in the wilderness or on a tan sheet that has been blurred. again the blurring of the photo ruins the picture to the point that its not even plesent to look at. If the viewer cannot look at a image for more than ten seconds you haven't done an overly great job with your photography.

I took this photo with my Iphone camera. After noticing how much better pictures are with the cannon camera I currently have this photo would be so much better. This photo was taken last years Christmas when my family and I went down to Hawaii. I absolutly love the dark green color that the plants have. Also for taking this with an iPhone camera it actually doesn't ruin the waterfall.

These photo were taken by National Geographic photographers of Yosemite National Park The Skyline in the first photograph is definitely the main focus but the silhouette of the mountains and trees really add to the photos potency. The second photo Sunrays almost blot out the valley but the strong dark mountains give structure to the valley. Another great feature of this picture is the colors and also the waterfall is still able to be made out.

This photo is one of the Torosay Gardens. This was a castle I wanted to visit on our trip to Ireland and Scotland.
I took this photo while in the Beartooth Mountains. I really like this photo due to the distinct visuals. The cloud is the main focus in this picture or what I was trying to really focus on due to its shape, color, and "wispfulness."
